| Market Analysis
|
We conduct field market analysis to determine the
feasibility for a client to distribute its products or services into a new
marketplace.
|
| Distribution
|
Following a determination that a product can be
successfully launched in a marketplace, we research and define the best
distribution method to penetrate the marketplace. This includes the establishment of the initial trading
partners. We also establish the location of the distribution
facility or method.
|
| Operational Controls
|
We establish the business controls and reporting
systems to support field distribution.
|
| Financing
|
We have prepared business plans and located
financing for a wide variety of businesses.
This has included small business SBA guaranteed loan applications
and major institutional financing.
|
| Major Acquisitions
|
We have assisted our clients with major
acquisitions. For one client
we sourced a 1,500 line telephone system, including defining the ownership
and arranging the financing. For
another client, we determined the best type of telephone system to use to
provide superior customer service to its customers.
We have researched and recommended reporting systems (both
accounting and non-accounting) for other clients.
|
| Operational Analysis
|
We perform operations analysis from a functional
point-of-view to determine measurement points so that management can
obtain reports to measure productivity by function.
Productivity reports may be by process measurement or by cost center.
These reports are operationally focused.
|
| Back Office Systems
|
Our experience reveals that many otherwise well
founded companies fail because they have not built the backend reporting
required of well run companies. Accounting
reports are often delivered to management too late to be effective in
analyzing business circumstances reflected by unacceptable results.
Backend reporting is more than accounting.
It is information gathering that focuses on the key operating
metrics of
a business. This type of
information allows for marginal analysis of profitability, by customer, by
product, by service and any other critical measurement that produces
results daily, weekly or monthly to control business operations ahead of
the financial statements. It
also provides focus on collection of accounts receivable.
We tailor backend reporting to the specific circumstances of each
client.
|
| Sales Tools
|
We assist sales professionals by developing
financial presentations that tell prospects the financial benefits of
doing business with our client. In
addition, we develop sales tools that salespeople can use in the field to
provide a prospective client with financial justification for a purchase
on the spot.
We also develop sophisticated pricing systems that
allow a salesperson to sell a complicated product utilizing a simple
pricing tool. Both the
customer and the salesperson understand the results.
|
| Training Systems and Seminars
|
In developing back office systems, we often
develop training specific to parts of the system. This training is tailored to the end user.
We often find we make a software product understandable when we
explain it in the terms of the client company, not the software vendor’s
terms.
We have also taken a portion of a formal training program and recast it
for specific use by the trained principal's staff.
An example is a sales training program for a franchise system to
provide existing franchisees with on-site training so their new salespeople
were given the tools to sell the offered product.
|
| Lease Negotiations
|
We assist our retail clients with lease
negotiations. We have been
able to obtain terms that allow for early termination for specific
reasons. We have defined when
percentage rent kicks in. We
have included other terms that offer our clients better terms than they
would have negotiated for themselves.
|
| Advisory Services
|
For some clients, we are retained to be just a
telephone call away. Our
services may include applying for financing, negotiating leases, reviewing
operating procedures, developing operating procedures, analyzing purchases
like point-of-sale systems, researching new retail locations and defining
new concepts based from old successful concepts.
